EU Parliament to Debate Bulgaria’s Rule of Law After Varna Mayor’s Arrest
The European Parliament is set to hold a debate in Strasbourg next week focusing on the state of the rule of law in Bulgaria

The Vice-President of the European Commission, Jacques Barrot, is going to meet with the leader of the Bulgarian conservative party, "Order, Law, Justice" (RZS), Yane Yanev.
Barrot is also the European Commissioner for Justice, Freedom, and Security, and a member of the French right-wing party UMP.
MP Yanev and his party RZS which claims to be a typical conservative party have recently received endorsements by the leader of the UK Conservative Party, David Cameron, and by the British MEP, Geoffrey Van Orden.
The RZS leader became known for revealing to the public evidence about various corruption schems in Bulgaria. However, it is not clear how he obtains the respective information.
