Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev has once again rejected responsibility of a visual blunder in his first New Year's address that raised a stir among the Bulgarian public.

During the address, as Plevneliev spoke about "unique Bulgarian nature," a picture showing a mountain near the resort of Aspen, Colorado, was shown.

"I am worried that many did not ask themselves the simple question whether the President is a technician sitting behind a computer and composing images," commented Plevneliev Sunday.

"I am astonished! I am suprised at how easily we can subvert the contents of a meaningful message," added he.

In his first comments regarding the affair Saturday, Plevneliev stated he is proud of the speech, relegating the visual aspects to the technical team of the Bulgarian National TV that shot the address.

"I do not agree with people who are saying this is the President's mistake or Plevneliev's gaffe," added Plevneliev Sunday.

According to him, the reactions show disrespect for the institution of Bulgaria's President.
