The decline is massive in both maritime and river freight traffic: the freight volume of Bulgaria's sea trade declined by 43.2% in Q4 2011, while the Danube River freight quantity went down by 21%.

At the same time, the number of passengers who used Bulgaria's Black Sea transport lines declined by 2.3% year-on-year, even though their total exact number was not released.

In the last quarter of 2011, the freight traffic of Bulgaria's truck and railway transport grew by 16.1% year-on-year in international routes, and by 24% in domestic routes.
