Eleven people have been arrested following two tip-offs for vote buying in the capital Sofia district of Kazichene, police said.

This the most serious violation of the regulations during the day of the elections, which have proceeded relatively calmly.

Following the tip-offs, the police mounted a raid in a bid to track down the vote buying scheme. It turned out that the all the goings-on take place in the cafe in the center of the district, where the police arrested a 22-year-old man from the town of Vratza. The man had with him a list, containing the names of 95 people.

According to the information collected so far, the enlisted people were transported from the cafe to the voting booths, where they had to cast a ballot.
