Hollywood star Angelina Jolie has given birth to a girl and a boy Saturday in a private clinic in Nice, France, around 6 pm local time.
According to publications in world media the obstetrician who delivered the twins, Dr. Michel Sussmann, has stated that the mother and the babies were "doing marvelously well."
Sussmann has further said that the actress has given birth to a boy, Knox Leon, and a girl, Vivienne Marcheline, by Cesarian section and that the boy weighed 2,27 kg and the girl 2,28 kg.
Angelina's partner, also a famous Hollywood star - Brad Pitt has been with her during the birth delivery.
According to publications in the French press, the first picture of the newborn twins has been sold to an US magazine for USD 11 M while the couple plans to use the money for charity.
Jolie and Pitt already have four children: Maddox, 6; Pax, 4 and Zahara, 3, who are adopted and their biological daughter Shiloh who turned 2 in May.
