A 3.2-strong earthquake was registered about 10 kilometers away of Bulgaria's capital city of Sofia as at the same time It is being rocked by powerful explosions in military storehouses, which started in the early hours of Thursday.
The data about the tremor, which hit at 3 pm, has been confirmed by the Geophysical Institute with Bulgaria's Science Academy.
Vassil Konstantinov, an official, working for the Seismology Department, said there were no blasts in the military facilities on fire at the time the tremor was registered.
"It was nothing but an earthquake," Konstantinov commented.
