Minimal Pension in Bulgaria Up to EUR 43

As of July 1 minimal pension in Bulgaria will go up by 14.8% to BGN 85 (approximately EUR 43), lawmakers passed on Friday.

A total of 624,826 retirees in Bulgaria will get the increased pensions, Hasan Ademov, chair of parliamentary commission on labour and social policy, explained.

The pensions up to BGN 120 will also be increased as July 1 with 5%, a 4%-increase will also be implemented for the pension up to BGN 150.

The MPs backed Friday the amendments to the Social insurance codex.
