Winter Tourism: 1.8 Million Visit Bulgaria
Bulgaria has witnessed a bustling winter tourism season, with a total of 1.8 million tourists gracing its picturesque landscapes from December 1 to March 25
Bulgarian playmate Nikoleta Lozanova has made a desperate and not very convincing attempt to defend her husband, forward Valeri Bojinov, after his expulsion from Sporting's first team.
"He knows better than anyone else how to kick the ball," the model, who is expecting her first child, wrote on Twitter.
Bojinov triggered a scandal on Thrusday when Sporting ended in a 1-1 home Cup draw with lower-tier side Moreirense.
In the injury-time, Bojinov decisively pushed his team's habitual penalty-taker Matias Fernandez, only to see his vital spotkick saved.
Portuguese giants Sporting completed in July the signing of Parma's unsettled Bulgarian striker Valeri Bojinov.
The Bulgarian international signed a five-year contract with Sporting after the two clubs agreed on a EUR 2.6 M bid for 80% of the player's economic rights. The fee could rise to EUR 3.5 M depending upon the club's performances.
The 25-year-old, who has also played for Fiorentina, Juventus and Manchester City, wears the number seven shirt for the Lisbon side.
Bojinov hit recently the front pages of Bulgarian tabloids after deciding to marry in between two matches of the national team, at a time when it was in desperate need of at least one face-saving victory, raising many eye brows.
Meanwhile Lozanova gained the reputation of a promiscuous and dominant lady, who has been calling the shots after Bojinov was transferred to Sporting Lisbon.
Rumours say that the former model will be more than unhappy to leave her luxurious life in Lisbon if her husband is forced to return to Bulgaria and join a local club.
Once in the Portuguese capital Nikoleta did not hesitate to arrange their life as it would suit her best and Valeri satisfied all her whims, local media say.
The couple has picked a luxurious, two-storey house with a garden and a pool in Lisbon, near one of the modern symbols of the city - Vasco da Gama bridge.
In addition, they use the services of a chef, a gardener and a man to maintian the pool.
