Bulgarian Bus Overturns in Turkey, 11 Injured Including 2 Bulgarians
A bus with Bulgarian registration veered off its path, resulting in 11 injuries, two of which are reported to be severe
The Easter holiday in the southern Bulgarian town of Simeonovgrad was dimmed by a hellish car crash that killed 6 young people Saturday night.
The six, ages 17 to 19, have died after being hit by a car traveling at high speed. Two others are listed in the hospital of the nearby town of Harmanli with serious injuries.
The incident happened on the "Saedinenie" street in Simeonovgrad around 11:50 pm when a 23-year-old man from the same town, driving an Opel Vectra at a very high speed, lost control of the car, hit a street pole, overturned and crashed into a group of pedestrians.
The victims are from Sofia, Stara Zagora, and Simeonovgrad.
The driver is at the Plovdiv hospital in critical condition and a skull fracture. His two passengers are in stable condition.
Police are investigating the case.
