Bulgaria wants Russia to increase the number of airports available for Bulgarian airlines, it was made clear in Moscow Thursday.
The statement was made by Kamen Kichev, Bulgaria's Deputy Transport Minister, who took part in the meeting of the Bulgarian-Russian Inter-Governmental Commission for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Partnership
Bulgaria also wants Russia to introduce more flights between Moscow and the Black Sea cities of Burgas and Varna, as well as the possibility of choosing between airports based on the touristic interest.
In 2010, the Bulgaria Air flight carrier wanted to substitute the Perm airport with that of Novorossiysk, but was denied by the Russian side due to protectionist policy towards Aeroflot and S7 Siberian Airlines.
