The Sofia Municipality building received a bomb threat Friday afternoon which led to the evacuation of Mayor Fandankova and the municipal employees.
The municipal employees were evacuated as the police went searching for a bomb in the building at 33 Moskovska Street.
The bomb threat came through a call made to the publicly accessible number of the municipality.
Sofia Mayor Fandakova has dismissed the municipal employees for the duration of the bomb search.
The police have discovered no explosives inside the Municipality building but the building will have to remain shut for the next 24 hours, as required by Bulgarian law.
