The Chair of the State Gambling Commission, Dimitar Terziev, has submitted his resignation Monday.

The resignation has been accepted by the Finance Minister, Simeon Djankov, the Finance Ministry press center informs.

Terziev states as motives the speculations and rumors among the public in Bulgaria, related to the amendments in the Gambling Act and his inability to defend himself and the Commission against them adequately.

“I do not want to create negative attitudes and trigger attacks aimed at the Ministry and the Commission,” Terziev wrote to Djankov.
