At 4 am Sunday, October 31, Bulgaria will turn the clocks back one hour to winter daylight savings time until the last Sunday in March, 2011.
At 4 am Sunday, October 25, Bulgaria turns the clock back one hour to winter daylight savings time until the last Sunday in March, 2010.
As result the sunrise and the sunsets will come earlier. Currently, the sun rises around 7:30-7:40 am and goes down around 5 pm. Starting Sunday the sunrise will be between 6:30-6:40 am and the sunset around 4 pm.
The winter and summer daylight savings time were introduced in Bulgaria in 1979 while they were introduced for the first time ever in 1908 in Great Britain to optimize the daylight hours.
