The Bulgarian father who got involved in an international scandal over taking his two children away from their Polish mother, violated the law by his acts.

Bulgaria's Justice Minister, Miglena Tacheva, explained that taking the two children, Pavel and Nikoleta, away from their mother without her agreement is against the law.

Minister Tacheva revealed Saturday the time-sequence of the family tragedy.

It appeared that the father talked to a private executory officer on May 27, and agreed to give the kids away.

However, when the officials arrived to take the children, many people tried to stand in their way.

The Prosecutor's Office may start an investigation against those people, Tasheva explained.

"When the media is called to witness the case, the father is obviously provoking the situation", the Minister commented.

She also informed that the girl, Nikoleta, was already in Poland.

A family drama between Bulgarian husband, Todor Vasilev, and his Polish wife named Barbara, led to the involvement of the Bulgarian authorities and foreign diplomats, and a public outrage in Bulgaria.

The story culminated in the Polish mother seizing her 8-year-old daughter from the Bulgarian father, and taking her to Poland in a questionable way, according to information reported by Darik Radio.

A video of the shocking attempt to seize the two kids from their Bulgarian father against their will is available HERE.

The long-time family drama started about two years ago when Todor Vasilev came back from Poland to his native town of Asenovgrad in Southern Bulgaria bringing his kids, Nikoleta and Pavel, now aged 8 and 7.

Vasilev's wife, however, filed a suit with the Polish authorities that her kids had been abducted. Thus, the case is transferred to the Bulgarian authorities under the international Hague Convention, and after two years Vasilev was eventually sentenced to for kidnapping his own children, who are ordered to be returned back to Poland.
