Low temperatures have been measured Saturday morning in all cities and towns of Northern Bulgaria - temperatures everywhere in the Danube Plain were below 10 degrees Celsius.
The lowest temperature was registered in the town of Knezha - minus 17 degrees Celsius, the local weather forecast station in the city of Pleven reported.
In the cities of Vidin and Veliko Turnovo the temperatures have been minus 15 degrees Celsius, minus 14 in Ruse, minus 13 in Pleven, Vratsa and Svishtov and minus 12 in Lovech.
Despite the negative double digits, the weather forecasters in Pleven remind that these temperatures are still above the record lows for the area. Temperatures below 20 degrees Celsius could be quite common in the Danube Plain and the adjacent areas during this time of the year.
The record low for the city of Pleven is minus 20,8 degrees Celsius and has been registered in 1947. In the same year the town of Knezha has registered a low of minus 27 degrees Celsius.
