Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has made it clear he has no intention to stop the gruesome civil war, leave the country and accept the offer of safe passage a few countries have offered.
"I'm not a puppet, and I was not made by the West to go to the West or to any other country," he told Russia Today TV. "I am Syrian. I was made in Syria and to live and die in Syria."
He also made an ominous threat against foreign intervention, saying it would have a "domino impact" on the world....
Hey Al-Assad if you would like to Llive and Die in Syria, put your boots and Syrian fatigues on and be a Syrian warrior.
Next throw your tie away and your Armani Suit.
Now face Hamas and Al-Qaeda eye to eye and this will prove you deseve to Live and Die in Syria and prove what the Syrian Flag is all about.
Hey, Jerry, if you would like Assad to face Hamas and Al-Qaeda "eye to eye", then stop the heavy and permanent flow of arms, money, foreign instructors/commandos to Syria. Do stop this- shameful and
violating all int'l laws and rules-Western Powers', Arab Monarchies' &
Turkey's activities against Syria. Merely stop it. And then You will see
And in addition to Yane' info: people' opinions...
Maybe when your hero, Comrade Putin, stops supplying arms and assistance to the fellow members of his "Tin-Pot Dictator and Mass Murderer Club" then the Free and Democratic (look it up, Choo-choo) world can let the will of the people prevail without having to help them to survive the actions of monsters and despots.
Long Live Pvssy Riot! ;)
Seedy, what Russia has sold is AA (anti-air) missiles n launching vehicles, also things like AS (anti-ship) missiles.
Do the "rebels" have an airforce? navy? No.
Also, these deals were made before the arab spring (->islamic harvest), so those weapons have no bearing on what is currently going on militarily against the "rebels". Syria isn't going to use advanced new anti-ship missiles against a terrorist hide-out on land..
Those who have a navy and an airforce is USA & NATO, so that's what all the QQ is about, makes an aggression much harder to do compared with Libya or Iraq. So, the bought weapons remain unused (except that one time vs Turkish fighter jet that was stupid enough to trespass, hehe) with the purpose to be a deterrent.
