The Bulgarian Prime Minister (PM) and leader of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) Sergey Stanishev officially presented his book "Because We Are Socialists" on Sunday at the NISIM bookstore in downtown Sofia.

The journalist and fellow party member Velislava Dureva is the author of the book's review.

The PM explained that he had written his book in one full day and five evenings, adding that he had the intention to include several more topics, but ran out of time.

It became clear during the presentation that the book will have additional circulation, while the sales' proceeds would be donated to the BSP election campaign. The book's price is going to be determined by the publishers.

Stanishev expressed his conviction that the book would prove interesting not only to the BSP members, but to many people, who are interested in politics.

Later on Sunday, Stanishev is going to participate in a working meeting with leaders of the parties members of the Party of European Socialists (PES) to discuss the new PES Manifesto and the global financial crisis.

The meeting is organized in the eve of the PES Summit, which will be held on December 1 and 2 in the Spain's capital Madrid.
