The White House officially refuted the allegations that the US President George Bush told last week the Bulgarian PM Sergey Stanishev he was suitable to marry his daughter.

This was reported on Tuesday by the US newspaper the Washington Post, which cites the White House spokeswoman Sally McDonough as stating that the American President did not spend his time at NATO trying to find a son-in-law.

As Sofia News Agency reported on Sunday, the news that George W. Bush found the Bulgarian Prime Minister a good match for his daughter was published on Saturday by one of the major Bulgarian newspapers, the 24 Hours Daily.

The 24 Hours Daily, however, did not provide any information about its sources.
