Iceland announced officially that they will be closing the labour market doors for Bulgarian and Romanian migrant workers.

The spokeswoman of Romania's Foreign Ministry Corina Vintan told BNR that Iceland had made its decision final.

The country is not a member of the EU but it had also applied those measures to the other ten countries that joined the Union in the last accession wave. Restrictions in that case were only valid for the first two years after accession.
