Heat Takes 1st Toll in Bulgaria

Politics | June 26, 2006, Monday // 00:00

Scorching heat in Bulgaria has already taken its first victim, media reported. A sixty-year-old man from the city of Sliven has passed away in a bus around noon on Sunday. The man collapsed and died on the spot, and police found no signs of foul play. The high summer temperatures are the likeliest cause of death reports say. Doctors are urging people to stay inside in the afternoon hours and take more liquids if they must go out.
