A "Segment of the Berlin Wall" now rises in Sofia to remind the old people and to tell the younger ones about the world history.

Sofia Mayor Boyko Borisov and the charge d'affaires of the German Embassy in Sofia, Elmar Timpe unveiled "Segment of the Berlin Wall" monument in the park in front of the National Palace of Culture.

The four-meter piece of the Berlin wall was given by the mayor of the German capital.

Sofia mayor Boyko Borisov said that the community needs to remember the history so that the young generations do not make the same mistakes.

The initiative for the inauguration of the Segment of the Berlin Wall came from the "Heritage" foundation.
