One of the leading Bulgarian trade unions is organizing a nationwide march on Tuesday in protest against "mass poverty, low salaries, and increasing bills".
A national demonstration will kick off in Sofia, at Macedonia Square., in response to the majority of unionists willing to take part in it.
The Confederation of Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB) expects some 10,000 people from Sofia, Plovdiv, Pernik, Sevlievo, Blagoevgrad and Dobrich, to gather under the flags.
Trade union structures of miners, health and transport workers, teachers, as well as social organizations will march to the Presidency, the Premier's administration and the Parliament to hand down a declaration with their stance on the economic and social problems of ordinary Bulgarians.
According to estimates by the trade union, the average salary has dropped by 3% since the beginning of 2006 eaten up by 4.6% inflation.
