Bulgarian Clergy Opposes Seaside Gay Fest

The clergy in Bulgaria's Black Sea capital Varna opposed the gay fest that is to take place in the city.

The Varna Bishopric protested against the fest, which will begin August 24 to continue to 26. Participants from over 6 countries will come for the fest.

The clergy, however, said that it is opposing such meetings that are "pushing the young people to the low moral and are killing the Christian values."

The event is being described as Bulgaria's first national gay festival. Special lectures and consultations with doctors and lawyers will be organized during the festival as well, the organizers have said.
