Greece is to impose restrictions on immigrants who come to work in the country, Greece' Interior Minister Prokopis Pavlopoulos has announced in an interview for the Greek Apogevmatini Daily.

The establishment of a modern immigration policy is among the priorities of a new law draft, which is expected to enter the Parliament, Pavlopoulis said.

People, who intend to work in Greece, entering the country should know exactly where are they going to work and for how long, the Minister has said.

This is one of the measures to be taken against the illegal immigrant flow, Pavlopoulis added.

The government aims to introduce more severe sanctions for those working illegally in the country, improving the border check and the control of the tourist visas.
