Car Bomb Wounds 12 in Iraq's Baquba

A car bomb wounded 12 people in the Iraqi town of Baquba, north of the capital, Wednesday morning.

Police say casualties included five bodyguards of the local authorities and seven civilians.

It was not immediately clear whether it was a suicide attack or a bomb planted in a parked car.

Three children and two other civilians were wounded in a bomb explosion near Baquba on Sunday.
