3 Dead in Kosovo Violence

At least three people were killed in clashes between crowds of ethnic Serbs and Albanians in the flashpoint Kosovo town of Mitrovica.

Dozens of people were injured as heavy bursts of gunfire erupted.

Tensions flared in the northern Kosovo town after two ethnic Albanian boys drowned on Tuesday, following an alleged chase by ethnic Serbs.
Another boy is still missing.

Kosovo has been administered by the United Nations and NATO -led peacekeepers since June 1999, after NATO's air war forced Serb forces who had cracked down on ethnic Albanians seeking independence to pull out of the province
