The future of Bulgaria is at peril due to the incompetent rule of the cabinet of center-right GERB party leader, PM Boyko Borisov, said Ahmed Dogan, chair of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms.

Sunday the leader of the liberal party, which expresses the interests of Bulgaria’s ethnic Turkish minority, was visiting the village of Glavinitsa together with senior Movement functionaries on a campaign trip for the October 23 municipal elections.

“This government suffers from a complete lack of vision for development, from a total lack of capacity to govern,” stated Dogan.

He continued by criticizing what he saw as the flashy ceremonies at which PM Borisov and cabinet ministers unveil newly-constructed facilities and infrastructure sites.

“I must say that 90% of the completed projects that they promote are projects that have been approved or started during our mandate,” said Dogan, referring to the three-way coalition cabinet between the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, the Bulgarian Socialist Party and the National Movement for Stability and Prosperity which ruled Bulgaria 2005-9.

Sunday Dogan wished local Movement activists in the Silistra region success in municipal election and assured them that their party is the most well-prepared for governance in the country.
