Following two failed asylum request and after being deported from Egypt and Spain, Omar Osama bin Ladin, one of Osama Bin Laden's sons and his wife are in Qatar, leading information agencies reported on Sunday.

The couple's legal status in Qatar is not yet known. They have also been unsuccessful in April in securing British visas.

On Monday, Omar Osama Bin Laden, aged 27, made an asylum claim after a scheduled stopover at Madrid's Barajas airport on a flight from Egypt to Morocco. Spanish authorities denied their asylum request and deported them to Egypt.

The couple was then barred from entering Egypt, where they have lived for the past year. It is not known why Egypt denied them entry.

Officials at Cairo airport said the pair was deported to Qatar, where the younger bin Laden, who has Saudi nationality, should normally have the right to live.

"We have finally found somewhere where we can stay and we thank the government. We cannot thank them enough," Bin Laden's wife was quoted as saying.

Omar Osama Bin Laden, a metals trader, is one of 19 sons of the al-Qaeda leader. Omar Bin Laden says he has urged his father to give up violence and has not seen him since 2000.
