After being deported from Spain following a failed asylum bid, Omar Osama bin Laden, son of Osama bin Laden, has also been expelled from Egypt, the Bulgarian Information Agency (BTA) reported on Sunday, citing Omar's wife.

The wife, Zaina Alsabah Bin Laden, formerly Jane Felix-Browne of Cheshire, declined to say where the couple was intending to travel next due to fears that yet another attempt to find asylum could fail.

On Monday, Omar Osama Bin Laden, aged 27, made an asylum claim after a scheduled stopover at Madrid's Barajas airport on a flight from Egypt to Morocco.

The younger Bin Laden said then his life was in danger because he "stands up and asks for peace" and that Spain is his family's "only chance of surviving".

Spanish officials said Omar Osama bin Laden was traveling on a passport from Saudi Arabia.

Omar Osama Bin Laden has been living in Cairo, with his 52-year-old British wife.

The self-declared pacifist son of the al-Qaeda leader was earlier this year refused entry to live in the UK.

The couple said the visa application was rejected in April after the British authorities had judged that it might not be "conducive to the public good".

It is thought the authorities were referring to comments made by Omar Osama Bin Laden that he could not prove 100% that his father was responsible for the 2001 attacks in the US or the London bombings in 2005.

Omar Osama Bin Laden's wife, who is severely visually impaired, said she needed access to medical treatment in the UK but refused to be apart from her husband.

Omar Osama Bin Laden, a metals trader, is one of 19 sons of the al-Qaeda leader. Omar Bin Laden says he has urged his father to give up violence and has not seen him since 2000.
