Aeroflot Plane Crashes Killing All Aboard: Aeroflot Plane Crashes Killing All Aboard A Boeing 737 of the "Aeroflot-Nord" company crashed in central Russia, near the Perm airport, killing all on board.

A Boeing 737 of the "Aeroflot-Nord" company, a division of "Aeroflot", traveling from Moscow to Perm went down around 3:40 a.m. Sunday, as announced by the Emergency Situations Ministry spokeswoman Irina Andrianova.

The plane crashed in central Russia, near the Perm airport, killing all on board.

The plane was on its approach to land in Perm when it crashed into an unpopulated area of the city, which is about 750 miles east of Moscow. According to official announcements there was no damage or deaths on the ground and investigators are working to determine what caused the incident. One of the black boxes has been found.

The authorities are currently trying to determine the exact number of casualties. There have been 81 passengers on board, including five children, and six crew members. A total of 84 tickets have been sold, but three passengers never boarded the plane. The initial announcement listed 88 total dead.

17 foreigners have also been on board, according to local authorities, but "Aeroflot" lists their number at 21 - most are from Azerbaijan and Ukraine, and one each from France, Switzerland, Latvia, Germany, the USA, Turkey and Italy.

In 20 days from submitting required paperwork, "Aeroflot" is going to pay up to RUB 2 M compensation to relatives of those who have died in the crash. The airline company is organizing a special flight Sunday afternoon for relatives of the deceased.
