Four Bulgarian children have been injured in a car crash in the municipality of Kaolinovo, between the villages of Harsovo and Nikola Kozlevo Darik News revealed.
Preliminary sources say that a boy of 16 was sitting behind the wheel of the car that crashed. This would mean that the youngster didn't have a driver's license, for Bulgarians are only allowed to apply for one after they have turned 18.
The driver was speeding and he lost control of the car, veering into the opposite lane, crashing head on into a tree and overturning in a wooded area by the road. The injured are a two-year-old boy, an 11-year-old girl, a boy of 14 and the driver. He and the girl have the gravest contusions but their condition is stable.
The parents of the driver were also in the car and the father, 33, fled the scene after the crash. This made police suspect that he may have been behind the wheel, but this information hasn't been confirmed.
