The representatives from 60 donor countries and organizations decided to extend over USD 940 M for Lebanon's reconstruction. They took the decision within the framework of a conference, held in the Swedish capital Stockholm. The participants in the meeting were expected to raise some USD 500 M but they managed to collect much more. Lebanese ambassador to Sweden, Mounir Talhouk, said that his country has problems with water distribution and electricity and does not have prepared shelters to accommodate the homeless.
