A 17-year-old Irish boy died in crash between two jets in the sea near Bulgaria's northern coastal resort Golden Sands.

Varna police reported that the accident took place on Friday around 2 pm some 100 -150meters away from the coast. Two Irish brothers aged 15 and 17 rented the jets and went jet skiing, while their parents were sunbathing at the beach.

Police reports that the two jets crashed because of high speed. The younger brother suddenly turned over and his jet crashed in to the one ridden by his brother.

The other boy, 15, was seriously injured in the accident.

The two boys and their parents were on holiday in Bulgaria. They were about to leave for Ireland on July 8.

This was the first accident of such kind taking place at Bulgaria's seaside this year.
