Romanian Player Sold for Meat

A second-division Romanian football team has sold a player for 15 kilos of meat, the press revealed.

But upon the news of his transfer, Marius Cioara announced he was quitting football.

He was to move from UT Arad to fourth division side Regal Horia.

Cioara has said he would rather move to Spain and work as a farmer.

Meanwhile, Regal Horia complained that the saucy price they paid for the quitter was the team's food for a week, local media said.
