Transport workers in Belgian capital Brussels continued a strike for a second day on Sunday after an employee was killed early on Saturday.
A supervisor working for Societe des Transports Intercommunaux de Bruxelles, the company that runs public transport in the city, was beaten to death Saturday morning after he was called to the site of an accident between a bus and a car.
On Monday, a meeting will take place between Interior Minister Joelle Milquet and representatives of the company, who will discussed measures to improve safety.
Bus and tram drivers have faced violence before, but the STIB said this was the first time one of its staff had been killed.
