The Bulgarian border police detained a total of eight illegal immigrants on December 31 and January 1.

At approximately 1:30 pm local time on Sunday, three young men were busted near the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing point. The men, aged between 24 and 27, claimed to be Palestinian citizens and will be detained by the local authorities for 24 hours.

An hour earlier, a 24-year-old woman was discovered hiding in a vehicle driven by a Turkish citizen. All four individuals traveling in the car have been detained.

Around 10:00 pm on Saturday, four young men with no documents were captured hiding in a truck driven by a Turkish citizen, once again at Kapitan Andreevo. The men told the police authorities they were from Afghanistan.
