Arab League Supports No-Fly Zone over Libya

The Arab League supports and could help in the enactment of a no-fly zone over Libya, according to secretary-general Amr Moussa.

"We still don't know who will enforce this no-fly zone, but the Arab League could play an important role, which I strongly recommend," stated Moussa at a League meeting in Cairo Saturday.

He specified that the no-fly zone will have a humanitarian effect - limiting the opportunity of government forces to act from the air - and will aid the Libyan people in its struggle for freedom.
