10 Men Arrested by Bulgaria Police in 'Octopus' Operation
A total of ten men have been arrested overnight in the special police operation codenamed “Octopus” which has targeted a large-scale organized crime group.
This has been announced by the Chief Secretary of Bulgaria’s Interior Ministry Kalin Georgiev shortly before 8 am Wednesday, about an hour after Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov made an announcement about the Octopus operation.
A men nicknamed “The Tractor” with initials A. P. has also been arrested; unconfirmed reports say he might be the former top secret agent of the State National Security Agency DANS, Aleksei Petrov.
The so called “Dambovtsi Brothers” who are said to have controlled the draining of the Kremikovtzi steel plant have also been arrested.
