Over BGN 20 M have been invested in 2016 for repairs and construction of schools and kindergartens in Sofia, stated Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova.
A total of 51 schools and kindergartens are being fully repaired, while the construction of 3 more will begin by the end of the year. The main investments of Sofia Municipality are related to increasing energy efficiency, added Fandakova.
“Half of the schools and kindergartens have video surveillance. It operates both on the spot and in Sofia Municipality centres and regional police stations. In 2016 alone, video surveillance was installed in 46 schools and kindergartens located in Krasno selo, Vitosh, Lyulin and Ilinden,” stressed Fandakova.
