The former Director of Boyana Film’s film studio Evgeni Mihaylov has threatened to inform Europe about deals that harmed the Bulgarian state after the privatization of Boyana Film.

Mihaylov stated Monday that he would inform the European institutions over the issue, if the Bulgarian Prosecutor’s Office does not act on its own-initiative.

He alleged that their have been unfounded claims made by "Nu Boyana" against the National Museum of History, National Military Museum and the Ethnographic Museum and "Nu Image Bulgaria”, which bought the multiplex from the Bulgarian state.

According to Mihaylov ‘Nu Boyana’ claimed EUR 1,3 M at the Court of Arbitration in the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for about 2,5 decares of land of the multiplex, while at the conclusion of the privatization deal the land totaled 302 decares.

Mikhaylov examined the case in the Post-Privatization Control Agency and realized that the Agency had failed to investigate the privatization process and therefore lost the state over EUR 1 M.

Mihaylov concluded that Deputy Culture Minister, Dimitar Dereliev, is now in a bad position and should resign as he is on the board of ‘Nu Boyana’.
