Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Botev Plovdiv winger Todor Nedelev, according to Bulgarian media and Botev's official website.
Bulgaria's Trud daily has reported that Tottenham are likely to pay nearly EUR 6 M for Nedelev, who is considered to be one of the brightest talents of Bulgarian football.
This would be the highest transfer fee ever paid for a player based in Bulgaria's domestic championship.
Two Botev officials have already arrived in London to negotiate the deal, the report says.
The Bulgarian club's official website has confirmed that Tottenham are interested in signing the 20-year-old Bulgaria international.
"Talks were held between the two clubs several days ago, when sports director Alexander Alexandrov met with a Tottenham representative in London," the website says.
However, Botev have noted that an offer for the player is yet to be received.
Werder Bremen was recently linked with the young Bulgarian winger.
