Free Parking in Sofia’s Blue and Green Zones During the Easter Break

The Sofia City Hall will repair a total of 25 km of sidewalks with BGN 2 M slated in its budget, according to Mayor, Yordanka Fandakova.
The program for the repairs is in preparation stage. In addition, the City Hall will build 12 km of bicycle paths – one of them will be an extension of the existing path from "Lomsko Shosse" boulevard to "Lavov Most;" the other – an extension of the one on "Bulgaria" boulevard to the National Palace of Culture, NDK, and there will be new ones in the "Luylin" district.
Fandakova says that the Sofia 2012 budget is based on achieved revenues and priorities in spending, calling it a "budget of stable growth."
She further reminded that the launch of the second subway line and the new segment of the beltway between the "Simeonovo" and "Mladost" districts are also scheduled for 2012.
The buildings of 14 schools and 10 kindergartens will be renovated on measures to improve energy efficiency.
