Pavel Shopov is the Vice Presidential nominee of Bulgarian nationalist party Ataka at the October 2011 elections, according to a media statement of the formation.
Apart from that, Ataka's national assembly approved Saturday the presidential bid of its leader, Volen Siderov.
Pavel Shopov, Deputy Parliamentary Chair and Deputy Chair of Ataka, ran for Vice President on the ticket of Volen Siderov in 2006, when he lost to Georgi Parvanov at the runoff vote.
In the course of the meeting, representatives of local party structures, the party's national executives and MPs discussed the forthcoming local and presidential elections.
