The police in Bulgaria's capital Sofia had neutralized and detained members of an organized crime group dealing with kidnappings.
The group was arrested in Sofia's "Orlandovtsi" district, Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, announced Thursday.
The individual, who was supposed to be abducted, is a foreign national with business ties in Bulgaria and arrived in the country with the goal to get married, Tsvetanov said.
The group included 4 people – 3 men and a woman. The woman has a long rap sheet and was the alleged ringleader.
The police are conducting a search and have already seized a gun and a wig.
