Manchester United beat Aston Villa 2:1 in the Carling Cup Final at the Wembley Stadium in London.

United won after goals scored by Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney after Villa took the lead in the 5th minute as James Milner scored a penalty.

This is the fourth Carling Cup title for Manchester United, who have reached the Carling Cup final eight times.

The two stars of the Bulgarian national football team – United’s striker Dimitar Berbatov, and Villa’s midfielder Stiliyan Petrov – played the entire match for their teams but neither scored or made any decisive passes.
