The body of 42-year-old Emiliya Dimitrova was found close to Mount Botev in Central Bulgaria late Sunday.

Dimitrova, a high school teacher from Veliko Tarnovo, went missing 8 days ago after going on a trip organized for tourism teachers to the area around Karlovo in Central Bulgaria.

The secretary of the Tourist Association Trapezitsa-1902, which organized the tour, Georgi Dimitrov, announced the discovery of Dimitrova’s body close to a hut near Mount Botev.

On Sunday, three groups composed of mountaineers from Veliko Tarnovo, joined in the search. One of them, led by Yasen Dolchinkov, came across the body 4 - 5 hours from the "Vasil Levski" mountain hut that the teachers had been staying in.
