FC Barcelona has defeated 2:0 Manchester United at the final match of the Champions League in Rome Wednesday night.

Thus, Barcelona won its third cup for the season after winning the Spanish Championship and the Spanish Royal Cup, while Manchester's top striker Dimitar Berbatov failed to become the first Bulgarian to win the Champions League with an English team.

Barcelona won the cup after Samuel Eto'o and Lionel Messi each scored in the tenth and the seventieth minute respectively.

Manchester United's manager, Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted after the game that Barcelona had been the better side at the Champions League Final on Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

"In fairness we were beaten by the best team. We weren't at our best. The first goal was a killer, it was a bad start to the game. If you give them the ball they will keep it all night", Ferguson told Sky Sports 1.
