Radostin Stoychev will be officially presented Monday as the new coach of the Bulgarian national volleyball team.

He has already signed a contract to coach the Bulgarian team until the end of the Summer Olympics in London in 2012.

Stoychev was asked to replaced former coach Silvano Prandi after the unconvincing performance of the national team at the 2010 World Volleyball Championship.

On Monday, the new coach will present his crew. Kamilo Plachi, who assisted Prandi, is expected to remain in the crew. A new position, director of the national volleyball team, is also expected to be created.

The sports-technical equipment, provided by the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation, will cost as much as during Prandi's management. According to Bulgarian daily Dnevnik, the total price is about EUR 120,000 per year.

However, Stoychev will receive less money than his predecessor because he has agreed to give Plachi a bigger salary.

The new coach gets all the power on the national team. He alone will decide on the opponents in friendly matches, when will the matches be held and how long preparation for them would continue.

The major challenges in front of the Bulgarian national volleyball team this year will be the World League and the European Championships in the Czech Republic and Austria.

The former Bulgarian volleyball player was coaching the team Trentino Volley and let them to their first ever Italian Volleyball League, CEV Champions League and Club World Volleyball Championship titles.
