The three tourists, who had been lightly injured during their descent of Vihren peak in Bulgaria's Pirin mountain on Tuesday, were rescued in the early hours on Wednesday.
For more than ten hours mountain rescuers attempted to find and transport the two men and a woman, who were not well-equipped for winter conditions.
The most heavily wounded tourist, who had a chest and ankle injury, was transported to the hospital in the town of Razlog.
According to media reports, none of the tourists had serious injuries, but one of them had a frostbite.
During their fall, the tourists flew 200-300 metres and it is a miracle that they did not sustain heavier injuries.
Around 20 people participated in the rescue operation, which was hampered by the difficult conditions on the peak.
A helicopter was briefly involved in the rescue operation, but it could not reach the injured tourists due to poor meteorological conditions.
However the helicopter managed to transport a rescuer close to the tourists.
