An exhibition on Ancient Egypt is now on display at the Sofia History Museum in the downtown area of Bulgaria's capital.
Titled "Meeting an Egyptian Priest", it tells part of the story of Nachthorheb, whose 1.5 m tall statue is the centerpiece of the exhibition.
Nachthorheb, an important official in the Twenty-sixth Dynasty of Egypt (664-525 BC), was in charge of running the protocol and a number of other matters at the palace of the pharaoh, whom Egyptians considered a living deity.
Visitors will also see 21 other artifacts from the Louvre which illustrate different aspects of life of Ancient Egyptians.
